Receive an update  regarding the status  of the Fixed Charge Analysis.

SUMMARY:

The District has hired a consultant, Raftelis Financial Consultants, Inc. (Consultant), to assist with the analysis and implementation of a Fixed Charge. As reported at the February 28, 2018 committee meeting, staff has been researching the fixed charge concept pursuant to the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), with the objective of improving revenue stability for the District while maintaining revenue neutrality relative to the current rate structure.

 

To date, the Consultant and District staff have conducted an initial kick-off meeting and staff has responded to initial data requests from the Consultant.

 

A project schedule is being drafted that will include progress reports to the Board and various Board Committees at upcoming meetings to solicit feedback.

 

If available, additional information will be reported to the committee verbally at this meeting.
