Recommendation
Receive a presentation from Acterra on the Adobe Creek (Redwood Grove to Shoup Park) Restoration Project and the San Francisquito Creek Habitat Enhancement Project, both of which received District funding from the Fiscal Year (FY) 2011 and 2013 grant cycles, respectively.

SUMMARY:
As part of the Clean, Safe Creeks and Natural Flood Protection Program, the Board approved an Environmental Enhancement Implementation Grant for the Adobe Creek (Redwood Grove to Shoup Park) Restoration Project on June 28, 2011 and a Comprehensive Stewardship Grant for the San Francisquito Creek Habitat Enhancement Project on June 25, 2013. These two projects received a total of $126,365 in grant funds. Through completion of both Projects, a total of 6,200 native plants were installed in the Project areas. Nearly 2,000 volunteers contributed more than 5,000 hours of time removing invasive plants and planting natives. Attachments 1 and 2 highlight key features of the creek restoration and enhancement efforts and the additional benefits of community outreach and post-Project maintenance.
As stipulated in both agreements, the grantee is required to provide a Project-completion presentation to the Board. The Acterra staff will provide a 10-minute presentation to the Board on the accomplishments and benefits of both completed Projects.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
No financial impact. Acterra entered an agreement with the District for the Adobe Creek Restoration Project in an amount of $46,365, and for the San Francisquito Creek Habitat Enhancement Project in an amount of $80,000. All grant funds were earned and have been disbursed to Acterra.
