RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation

Adopt the Resolution RECOGNIZING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF SIG SANCHEZ IN COMMEMORATION OF HIS 100TH BIRTHDAY AND PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE CITY OF GILROY, THE SANTA CLARA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, THE SANTA CLARA VALLEY WATER DISTRICT (VALLEY WATER) AND THE SAN LUIS & DELTA-MENDOTA WATER AUTHORITY.

SUMMARY:

This Resolution, which was jointly prepared and is also being considered by the City of Gilroy, the County of Santa Clara, and the San Luis Delta Mendota Water Authority, provides the Board an opportunity to express its appreciation to former South County At-Large and District 1 Director Sig Sanchez, who was a member of the Valley Water Board of Directors from 1980 through 2009, in honor of his 100th Birthday, which will be on November 11, 2020.

 

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

There is no financial impact associated with this item.

 

 

CEQA:

The recommended action does not constitute a project under CEQA because it does not have a potential for resulting in direct or reasonable foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
