RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation

Approve the revised Board Committee Appointments for the San Luis and Delta-Mendota Water Authority Division 4 Board of Director Alternate and the Delta Habitat Conservation and Conveyance Program Committee Alternate.

 

 

Body

SUMMARY:

In accordance with Board Governance Policy GP-9, the Board annually reviews committee appointments and make changes where necessary.

 

At the February 11, 2020, meeting, the Board approved the 2020 Board Chair’s recommended Board Committee Appointments, including appointing Mr. Garth Hall, Deputy Operating Officer, as the alternate representative to Director Varela on the San Luis and Delta-Mendota Water Authority Board of Directors - Division 4; and as the alternate representative to Director Kremen on the Delta Habitat Conservation and Conveyance Program (DHCCP) Committee - Division 4. 

 

In September 2020 Mr. Hall retired from the District creating vacancies on the Board and DHCCP committee.  Below are staff’s recommendations to fill these vacancies:

 

1.                     Board of Directors Alternate to Director Varela - Aaron Baker, Chief Operating Officer

2.                     DHCCP Committee Alternate to Director Kremen - Dana Jacobson, Senior Water Resource Specialist

 

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

There is no financial impact associated with this item.

 

 

CEQA:

The recommended action does not constitute a project under CEQA because it does not have the potential for resulting in direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
