SUMMARY:
The AECOM Technical Services, Inc., (Consultant) is currently performing the design services for Coyote Creek Flood Management Measures Project (CCFMMP or Phase 1) and Coyote Creek Flood Protection Project (CCFPP or Phase 2) in support of two objectives: 1) reduce the risk of flooding to homes, schools, businesses, and transportation networks from flood flows associated with a 20-year recurrence interval flood, approximately equivalent to the February 2017 flood event (applies to both Projects), and 2) reduce the risk of flooding in San Jose as a result of water releases from Santa Clara Valley Water District's (Valley Water) Anderson Dam that may occur after construction of Stage 2 diversion tunnel as part of Anderson Dam Seismic Retrofit Project, scheduled to be completed approximately October 2028 (pertains only to the CCFPP).
