Receive an Update on the Distribution System Master Plan Implementation Project No. 95044001.

SUMMARY:

Staff has prepared an update (Attachment 1) on the Distribution System Master Plan Implementation Project (Project).

 

Background

The Project scope entails having a consultant prepare a 30-year implementation plan that identifies projects to repair, replace, and/or upgrade Valley Water’s distribution system infrastructure. This plan will address capacity, reliability, and sustainability needs for a 30-year planning period. The Project may also prepare a Program Environmental Impact Report pertaining to the infrastructure projects if needed. The Project commenced in May 2023 and is expected to be completed in fiscal year 2027.

 

Update

 

Attachment 1 provides updates on the following:

a.                     Pipelines

b.                     Pump stations

4.                     Next steps:

a.                     Continue evaluation of assets

 

Staff will continue to update the CIP Committee on Project progress and include requests for Committee input on key project proposals and recommendations.

 

 

ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE AND EQUITY IMPACT:

There are no environmental justice and equity impacts associated with the Distribution System Master Plan Implementation Project No. 95044001. This action is unlikely to or will not result in human health or environmental effects and is not associated with an equity opportunity.
