RECOMMENDATION:

Recommendation

A.                     Discuss the Board’s current Board Appointed Officer Evaluation and Compensation Process; and

B.                     Provide direction on changes or other recommendations to the current process.

 

 

Body

SUMMARY:

At the February 14, 2023, Board meeting Director Eisenberg requested that an item be agendized for the Board to discuss the current Board Appoint Officer (BAO) evaluation and compensation process.

 

This item allows the Board to have a discussion and, if necessary, provide direction on any changes to or other recommendations on the Board’s current BAO evaluation and compensation process. 

 

To assist the Board in their discussion, attached is the current versions of Board Governance Policy Governance Process (GP) 3.4 (Attachment 1) and Board-Board Appointed Officer Linkage (BL) 5 (Attachment 2) which outline the current process the Board uses for BAO performance evaluations and compensation adjustments.

 

 

ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE IMPACT:

There are no Environmental Justice impacts associated with this item.

 

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

This information and discussion item has no financial impact.

 

 

CEQA:

The recommended action does not constitute a project under CEQA because it does not have the potential for resulting in direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
