RECOMMENDATION: Recommendation
A. Receive a virtual tour of the Silicon Valley Advanced Water Purification Center;
B. Participate in “The Water We Share” activity; and
C. Discuss ideas for promoting purified water.

SUMMARY:
The Silicon Valley Advanced Water Purification Center (SVAWPC) is a partnership between Valley Water and the cities of San Jose and Santa Clara, who co-own the San Jose-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility. Our mission is to raise awareness and foster support for purified water through educational initiatives.
The virtual tour is designed to introduce Youth Commission (YC) members to purified water and our growing water reuse efforts. During the tour, staff will share physical props to provide the YC a closer look at the inner workings of the SVAWPC. YC members will also participate in “The Water We Share” activity and discuss ideas for promoting purified water to peers, older adults or other audiences.
