Consider and approve appointment to the Safe, Clean Water and Natural Flood Protection Independent Monitoring Committee.

SUMMARY:

At the February 23, 2021, Board meeting, the Board adopted Resolution No. 21-10, creating a 14-member Safe, Clean Water and Natural Flood Protection Independent Monitoring Committee of the Santa Clara Valley Water District (Attachment 1). 

Each Director is allotted two committee member nominations for appointment consideration: one committee member to serve a two-year term, and one committee member to serve a three-year term. 

Stated below, for Board consideration, is the individual nominated for new appointment and the terms of service. The Committee Application for the nominee is included as Attachment 2.

Applicant Name: Laneya Davenport

Nominating Director: Director Jim Beall, District 4

Length of Term: Two years

 

 

ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE IMPACT:

There are no environmental justice impacts associated with this action. This action is unlikely to or will not result in adverse impacts.

 

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The Office of the Clerk of the Board, Project No. 60301001, has budgeted funds to support the business meetings of the Board’s Advisory Committees in the FY 2026-2027 Adopted Operating and Capital Budget.

 

 

CEQA:

The recommended action does not constitute a project under CEQA because it does not have potential for resulting in direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
