RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
Appoint a District Representative and Alternate to the SLDMWA DHCCP Steering Committee - Division 4.

Body
SUMMARY:
The Water Authority's DHCCP was created to conduct the business of the Delta Habitat Conservation and Conveyance Activity Agreement (Agreement). The Agreement was established for purposes of securing funding, directing the Water Authority decisions for the DHCCP, and more specifically, to establish the mechanisms by which the Activity Agreement members agree to fund the Water Authority's financial obligations under the Department of Water Resources Funding Agreement.

Current District Representatives
The membership of DHCCP is based on the terms of the Activity Agreement and the member agencies that participated in agreement; and is made up of a representative and an alternate from each member agency in each of the five divisions. The representative and alternate for each member agency can be an elected official or staff.

The District is a member of Division 4 along with San Benito County. The District's current representatives are at the staff level - Representative Joan Maher (retired) and Alternate Cindy Kao.

Since the District's current representative has retired, it is appropriate for the Board to consider and make new representative and alternate appointments to the DHCCP either at the Board level or at staff level.

Once appointments are made, the Clerk will notify the Water Authority of the new appointments.
