RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
That the Board consider and act on the following recommendations by the Environmental and Water Resources Committee:
A. That Environmental and Water Resources Committee receive the Fish and Aquatic Habitat Collaborative Effort Fish Habitat Restoration Plan Draft Environmental Impact Report when available; and
B. Allow the Environmental and Water Resources Committee to have further discussion in the future on the fisheries projects within the District's boundaries/purview.

SUMMARY:
At the EWRC Meeting held on October 15, 2018, the EWRC voted unanimously to ask the Board to consider acting on the EWRC action items, 1. Receiving the FAHCE EIR when available; and 2. Have further discussion on the future on the fisheries projects within the District's boundaries/purview.

Staff Analysis #1:
Staff will coordinate with EWRC Chair to notify the EWRC of the availability of the public draft FAHCE EIR when it is released to the public.

Staff Analysis #2:
Staff can provide the following to assist with further discussion on the fisheries projects within the District's boundaries/purview:

a. The District's April 2015 Report on Fisheries Conservation and Stewardship Efforts. This document summarizes District policies and efforts related to fisheries and will provide additional insights on information presented to the EWRC on October 15, 2018.

b. Since many parts of District work on projects with fisheries, any comprehensive updates above and beyond what has already been provided to the EWRC will require close coordination among several functional units within the District. As needed, staff can provide an estimate on resources needed to provide additional fisheries information.
