Approve the Standard On-Call Consultant Agreement with V & A Consulting Engineers for On-Call Corrosion Engineering and Support Services for a not-to-exceed fee of $2,000,000.

SUMMARY:
The objective of this Standard On-Call Consultant Agreement is to provide as-needed corrosion engineering and support services to augment Santa Clara Valley Water District's (Valley Water) existing corrosion control program efforts.

Valley Water requires corrosion engineering and support services for maintenance, operations and capital projects relating to watersheds, water utility, and facilities improvement construction projects. The primary function of the corrosion control program is the cost-effective maintenance of Valley Water's exposed, buried, and submerged metallic assets from natural decay or corrosion. The program targets the maintenance of Valley Water's infrastructure such as its treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, and tanks in accordance with industry standards established by the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA).

The Consultant selected to perform the on-call, as needed, corrosion engineering and support services will not be eligible to bid on future Valley Water design services and/or construction projects for which they provided previous services.

The firms were required to meet following minimum qualifications to be considered responsive:

* The Proposer shall have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the Water Utility Corrosion Control and Cathodic Protection industry.
* The Proposer shall have the applicable certifications, licenses, or affiliations:
a) California State Licensed Contractors,
